Boat excursion in Bali

The island of Bali is a mecca for surfers and boats lover. Surrounded by great waves, tropical climate, friendly people, great boat hotel accommodation, cheap or luxury destination has allowed Bali to historically become a popular destination among surfers and visitors. Bali has been visited since the early 1970s by surfers, with Australians first experiencing the magical wonders of Bali waves and by leisure yachtsmen. Icon movies such as Morning of the Earth soon increased the awareness of the great surf and unique place Bali provides. This then lead to exploring the waves of Bali has to offer and soon the waves offered in the Indonesia archipelago with the boats company organize daily excursion tour and boat transfer.

Bali over the recent years has also been a favourite destination among pro surfers. With plenty of magazine exposure and Bali private tour with pro surfers surfing throughout Bali, large role plays in films such as Stranger than fiction Bali has truly evolved into the Hollywood of surfing. Now a visit to Bali at least once a year is a must among pro surfers.

On the flip side location such as Keramas, Padang-Padang, Canggu, Sanur reef has experienced many drastic changes over the years to its natural landscape. For instance once exotic locations such as Keramas were untouched. With a new high way to allow quick access and large exposure by the surf media has transformed Keramas is now one of the most populated surf spots in Bali. The beach landscapes is quickly transforming from a sleepy fishing village or empty coast line into beach side and non beach side luxury villas filled through-out the area for private or rental use. Land is now scarce to find which are beach front and prices has seen over 300% increase over the last 5-10 years has seen something that is unseen Bali.

Once beach front land owned by the locals ( very rare now) was perceived as a land value as minimal has now been reversed with the sudden influx of expatriates into Bali and foreign investment. However the East side of Bali has seen some negative impact towards the coast line. From Padang Galak onwards the coastline is now experiencing great erosions with a couple of meters of beach front being lost. The lost of beach front land especially with it being very valuable will hopefully now increase the focus in preserving the environment in Bali while we are changing its landscape.
